These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the services, website, and reports provided by alumn.is ("we", "us", or "our"), a data intelligence service operated in the European Union.
By accessing our website at alumn.is or purchasing any report or service from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our services immediately.

alumn.is provides alumni outcome intelligence reports and data analytics services to educational institutions, businesses, and professional organisations. Our services include:
All reports are delivered digitally. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our services at any time with reasonable notice provided to active clients.
Our services are intended for business and institutional clients ("B2B"). By using our services you confirm that:
Consumer protection provisions under EU Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights (including the 14-day right of withdrawal) do not apply to B2B transactions. If you are using our services as a private individual, please contact us before purchase.
All service engagements are agreed upon via written confirmation (email or signed proposal). A binding agreement is formed when we send you an order confirmation or written acceptance of your request.

All reports, data outputs, visualisations, methodologies, and content produced by alumn.is remain our intellectual property until full payment is received, at which point a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence is granted to the purchasing organisation for internal use only.

All alumni data compiled by alumn.is is sourced from publicly available professional platforms and processed in accordance with applicable EU data protection law, including the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR").
Our lawful basis for processing publicly available professional data is legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, consistent with the reasonable expectations of professionals who publish their career information publicly.
Our full Privacy Policy, which governs how we collect and process personal data including data about our clients and website visitors, is available at alumn.is/privacy.
We do not process sensitive personal data (special category data under Article 9 GDPR) in our reports. If you believe your data has been included in error, you may exercise your rights under GDPR by contacting hello@alumn.is.
Both parties agree to treat as confidential any non-public information disclosed in the course of the engagement, including pricing, methodologies, and client-specific data requirements. This obligation survives termination of the agreement for a period of three (3) years.
This clause does not apply to information that is or becomes publicly available through no fault of either party, or that is required to be disclosed by law or regulatory authority.
Our reports are compiled from publicly available data sources. While we take reasonable care to ensure accuracy, we do not warrant that our data outputs are complete, error-free, or suitable for any specific purpose beyond that described in your engagement.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable EU law:
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under EU or applicable national law.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to our services immediately if we reasonably suspect a breach of this section.
Either party may terminate an ongoing engagement by providing written notice. Termination does not affect any rights or obligations that have already accrued, including outstanding payment obligations.
Upon termination, licences granted under Section 5 for delivered reports remain valid, provided all invoices have been settled. Access to any ongoing dashboard or data service will cease on the termination date.
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or operational practices. We will notify active clients of material changes by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
Continued use of our services after the effective date of any updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. The date of the most recent revision is shown at the top of this page.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, without regard to conflict of law principles.
In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to first attempt resolution in good faith through direct negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, it shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Lithuania.
For clients based in other EU member states, mandatory consumer or business protection provisions of your country of residence may also apply where required by law.
The European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr, although as a B2B service we are not required to participate in alternative dispute resolution.
